Transit Stories: Unlucky Tuesdays
Mars is the planet of frantic energy, violence, fire, anger and divorce. So it's no surprise you wouldn't want to get married on a day with such a bad omen. I personally feel often more reactive, impulsive and energetic on Tuesdays, and especially on Mars hours.
Some Tuesdays ago, my brother had a very Martian incident at home. He wanted to light the fire in the fireplace. Since it was still too warm outside, the fire made an enormous amount of smoke. He tried to extinguish it with water, but it made it worse, obviously. The house was suddely full of smoke. The alarms set off.
My brother has an intellectual disability and didn't know how to handle an unpredictable situation like this. And to be honest, I wouldn't have known too. We all got lucky this story merely ended in a house that smelled like smoke for a few weeks.
When I take a look at my brothers' transits, the 'fiery air' of that day was unquestionable. Mars in Gemini made a square to my brothers' natal Mars, which is also the signifier of himself. So we got the planet of fire in an air sign, which creates smoke. Mars is also the ruler of my brothers' sixth house of accidents.
At the same time the Venus-Sun conjunction made a trine to Mars in Gemini. The combustion was tight: they were just one degree apart. A combust Venus in a sanguine sign gives very hot air. With Venus as the ruler of the twelfth house, dwelling Ćn the twelfth house, it's sure that no good can come from this Venus. This is a good example of tradional benefic planets who become malefic in the right circumstances.
But what does Venus, planet of art and pleasure, has to do with a nearly deathly accident? My brother was fantasizing that he could manipulate the smoke like a magician, swaying it around, confirming his magical abilities. He wasn't scared at all because he was under the impression he could control the fire and the smoke. So this type of Venus has the ability to make a very dangerous situation a very pleasurable one.
At the same time our combust Venus in Libra made an aspect via antiscion with my brothers natal Mars. Notice that Venus is conjunct Spica: this fixed star is considered a very lucky star. It can save you from the most dire of circumstances, and help you get away with things. People who have this star prominently in their chart, often seems to have a lucky hand in life, or maybe a very prolific gardian angel.
My brother has a day chart, so the Sun is traditionally the symbol of his father. In this case, Spica manifested itself in the right-in-time-and-not-a-minute-too-early arrival of my father to save the day.
It's interesting that my brother is born onder a very tight Sun-Venus combustion. Venus and Mercury are very often combust, for they never travel very far away from the Sun. This makes this very pattern repetition not particularly remarkable. But still I wonder if a combust Venus happens to mark eventful days for my brother.
